Date Funded: Jun 30, 2007
Date Repaid in Full: Jan 2, 2008
From the application: "Maria Guadalupe is married and mother of two small children. Her husband is a worker for a company in the town of Garcia, Nuevo León. However the salary he receives is very low to pay for all their family expenses. Recently they have had the opportunity to buy their own house, but this has considerably reduced the family's available money. In order to help her husband with the expenses, Maria decided to start selling used clothing. With this she is able to attain extra income while taking care of her children. Little by little she was able to grow her business, and now she also sells her products in local markets which has incremented demand. In order to give good service and increase her merchandise she is requesting a loan of $550 that she will repay in six months."
Congratulations Maria! Thank you to Kiva for coordiating this loan, and thank you to all those that donated to the fund. Together we are helping keep Warren's generous spirit alive.
