To mark World Food Day (Oct.16), we have just donated $100 in Warren's memory to help combat the mounting hunger crisis in Ethiopia. We've donated through Save the Children , which isn't one of the regular non-profits that the WPMF uses (see 'Projects' at left). But it's a good organization and the need is there, so we're going for it.
(And by the way, although their names are similar, Save the Children is not like Feed the Children--who run those long infomercials and spend most of your donation on advertising and administrative costs. Save the Children consistently gets high marks for its program verses administrative expenditures and is a great organization to donate through. For more, click HERE.)
