Mr. Men Tha is a farmer who lives in the Tramses Village, Pursat Province. He lives together with his wife and his four children. Tha's wife makes and sells Cambodian cakes in the village, earning around US$3 per day, while Tha earns around US$2 per day. The couple's combined income cannot sufficiently support the family with its increasing expenses; therefore, their daughter has to work in a garment factory in Phnom Penh. Tha would like to expand his rice farming business to earn adequate income for his family. He is therefore requesting a loan of US$600 to be able to purchase an additional plot of land.
